Casoron

Casoron's active ingrediant, dichlobenil, acts by inhibiting germination and actively dividing meristems of growing points and root tips. It is absorbed primarily from the soil by the root system. Because dichlobenil volatilizes under warm conditions, applications should be made only under cool or cold weather conditions in late fall or very early spring. A fall application may be necessary to control many perennials, such as fescues, orchardgrass, quackgrass, docks, and dandelion. Do not treat newly planted trees until at least 4 weeks after planting. Dichlobenil is labeled for use on apples, pears, cherries, nectarines, peaches, plums, and prunes.
